1
March — April

SPRING APPLICATION

Jump-start your lawn out of winter dormancy with a balanced fertilizer that promotes strong root development. Pre-emergent crabgrass control creates an invisible barrier that stops crabgrass seeds before they germinate. Broadleaf weed control targets any weeds that survived winter.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

When is the best time to start a lawn care program?

Early spring (March–April) is the ideal time to start, since the first application includes pre-emergent crabgrass control that needs to go down before soil temperatures rise. However, you can join the program mid-season — we'll customize the remaining treatments based on where you are in the calendar.

Is the lawn care program safe for kids and pets?

We follow all NYS DEC guidelines for product application and safety. After each treatment, we recommend staying off treated areas until the product has dried (typically 1–2 hours). Our technicians are NYS DEC Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicators who apply products at labeled rates using professional equipment.

How long before I see results from fertilization?

You'll typically see greening and improved density within 1–2 weeks of the first application. Full results develop over the season as the program builds on itself — each treatment is timed to your lawn's growth cycle. Most clients see a dramatic difference by the end of the first full season.

What's the difference between professional lawn care and doing it myself?

Professional programs use commercial-grade products that aren't available at retail stores, applied by certified technicians at precisely calibrated rates. Timing matters — our treatments are scheduled to match your lawn's growth cycle, not a weekend schedule. The result is more consistent coverage, better weed control, and healthier turf with less product waste.

Why is grub control included for free?

Grubs are one of the most destructive lawn pests in the Rochester area — they feed on grass roots and can destroy large sections of lawn in a single season. We include preventive grub control with our Step 3 summer application because treating proactively is far more effective (and less expensive) than repairing grub damage after the fact.
