We walk the property with you, take measurements, check grade and drainage, and talk honestly about what your budget will and will not reach.

EXCAVATION & BASE
The part nobody photographs and everything depends on: excavation, disposal, compacted aggregate base, and drainage. This is where a build lasts or fails.

BUILD
Pavers, walls, steps, and features go in according to the agreed scope. We coordinate the work through completion and keep you informed when weather or site conditions affect the schedule.

WALKTHROUGH
We walk the finished project with you, close out the punch list, and explain how to care for the surface so it still looks right in year ten.

The compact fenced yard called for a gathering space that fit the available geometry without feeling boxed in.
What we built
A circular brick paver field defines the room, with a curved stone seat wall, built-in grill station, and planted perimeter softening the fence line.

The grade changed continuously behind the house, so the design needed usable flat areas without one visually dominant wall.
What we built
Two paver terraces follow the slope at separate elevations, connected by broad steps and framed by a stone seat wall on the upper level.

How much does a paver patio cost in Rochester?
It depends on size, access, excavation, disposal, and the features you build into it. A compact seating patio and a full outdoor room with seat walls, steps, a fire feature, or lighting are very different projects. We walk the property with you before we put a number on it, and the estimate is free.
Why is one contractor thousands cheaper than another for the same patio?
Almost always the base. A patio is several inches of compacted aggregate you never see, plus one finish layer you do. Cutting base depth, geotextile, compaction, or drainage saves money on day one and shows up as heaving and settling after a few Rochester winters. Ask any bidder about base depth, compaction, and the runoff path. Those answers usually explain the price gap.
How long do pavers last in Rochester's climate?
